  • Click “book a consultation” from the menu and pick a date and time for your discovery consultation, fill out the inquiry form, and choose the consultation style that fits you best. We’ll review everything and be in touch within a few days with your confirmation and consultation invoice.

  • A minimum 1 hour with us, all about your home. We talk through your space, your goals, and what’s possible, so you know exactly where you stand before design begins. Consultations can also be booked on their own, anytime. Questions about a current project, layout direction, material picks, or a professional second opinion? That’s what they’re for. No design package required.

  • If you care about thoughtful design, high-quality work, and are willing to invest in your project for the best outcome, we’ll likely work well together. I collaborate with clients who value clarity, trust expert guidance, and want a seamless process from concept to construction. If that sounds like you, we’re off to a great start!

  • No. Every project is unique and meaningful estimates require context. The Discovery Consultation ensures your fee estimate reflects your actual needs, not a generic number!

  • The design phase typically takes 8 to 12 weeks from your accepted proposal to your Blueprint package release. This reflects a full construction package. Smaller-scope projects (single rooms, simpler renovations) will require less time.

    Timelines may extend up to 16+ weeks when architects or structural engineers are involved, 3D renderings, multiple design directions are requested, or scope changes are introduced after design begins. Most timeline variability comes from the pace of client decision-making and meeting availability.

  • No. Structural engineering and architectural stamps come from your architect or engineer, and your builder typically coordinates permits. What we deliver is the complete interior design blueprint: the layouts, materials, and construction documents your team builds from. Already have an architect or builder? Perfect. We work alongside them from day one so nothing gets lost in translation.

  • Bring them! Existing plans, inspiration folders, and 2am screenshot collections all help us understand your vision faster. Our job is turning that inspiration into something buildable.

  • We’re based in Edmonton, but our process is built to work beautifully in person or virtually. Wherever your project is, we can make it work.

getting started

  • No. I’m not a general contractor or project manager. I stay involved as your designer, collaborating closely with your builder or contractor to keep everything aligned with the design intent. I support you throughout the process with expert input, clear documentation, and timely coordination.

  • Absolutely. Although I have preferred contractors to execute my designs all of my service packages are compatible with the contractor of your choice. I’ll work alongside them to provide design clarity, documentation, and ongoing support.

  • For renovation projects, I recommend LCF Renovations. We've partnered for over three years on all of my renovation projects, and they consistently deliver high-quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and a collaborative approach that aligns with the way I run my projects.

    For new builds, I collaborate with a variety of custom home builders, each suited to different design styles, build timelines, and investment levels. After our Discovery Consultation, I’ll help connect you with the best fit based on your project goals.

    • During our design phase, I’ll provide you with a rough estimate of how long permitting may take based on your municipality, scope, and project type.

    • I’ll also share a general construction duration estimate based on the size and complexity of your project.

    • These are early estimates, not fixed dates, and may be refined as more information becomes available.

    • Your builder or contractor will ultimately manage the construction timeline, but I remain available for key support milestones if you selected the bespoke package.

construction & contractors

  • A. The Client shall make all payments payable to “Berube Blueprint Inc.”

    B. Payment methods accepted are e-transfer to elissa@berubeblueprint.ca, cash, pre-authorized debit and cheques

    C. All invoices are due upon receipt. Failure to make full payment immediately will result in financial penalties, with an interest rate of 35% per annum applied to any unpaid balance until it is fully settled.

  • A. First payment: 80% of the total proposal fee is due upon signing the proposal contract (for each project)

    B. Final payment: The remaining 20% of the total proposal fee is due following the final design presentation and prior to the release of all finalized drawings and documentation

    All selected services, including any add-ons, are incorporated into the total project fee and billed within this schedule. Construction walkthroughs, when included, are a pre-scoped service scheduled at key milestones during construction and are not dependent on the design phase timeline. Prepayment confirms availability within our schedule and secures dedicated time for each meeting required.

  • Once your fee proposal is ready, I’ll send it along with a service agreement for you to review and sign. This agreement outlines the scope, terms, and expectations for your project.

    As soon as it’s signed, your first invoice will be issued and is due upon receipt. This payment confirms your place in the schedule and officially kicks off your project.

  • Yes. I offer a tailored service costs designed specifically for home builders, general contractors, and trade professionals. Whether you're looking to streamline your design process, improve your client experience, or enhance your project workflow, I’m happy to collaborate.
